This week: X-band walks for developing the Gluteus medius.

This exercise is important in controlling knee stability, particularly for the control of internal rotation and adduction.

Exercise directions:

  • Place the band around your feet and cross the handles
  • Brace your core and keep tall and upright
  • With no knee flexion, push one leg out to the side and take a step sideways
  • The movement should come from the leading hip
  • Relax the leg, engage and repeat

 This week: Swiss Ball Leg Lifts for lumbar control

Exercise directions:

  • Brace the core, draw in the bellybutton
  • Lift one leg 3 inches off the floor
  • Limit any movement of the hips using your core
  • Relax the leg, engage and repeat

This week: Essential Back Mobility - Cat/Camel Stretch

Exercise directions:

  • Brace the core, draw in the bellybutton
  • Pull your stomach upwards, rounding the back
  • Slowly drop stomach down keeping hips high
  • Repeat
